Role: Principal Technician (Application Support)
Duration: 8 Month initial contract
Location: Germany (North Rhine-Westphalia)
Rate: £450 per day
NP Groups client is currently looking for a Principal Technician with a strong working understanding of application support. Candidates from a Military/Government background are encourage to apply. To be considered candidates must hold valid SC clearance.
Essentail requirements:
- Security Clearance - must be current
- Expertise with Oracle Forms and Reports 10g, 11g
- SQL and PL/SQL for Oracle Database 10g, 11g
- Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- OLE2
Professional/Experience
Must have clear evidence of experience in the provision of application maintenance and support services. Needs to clearly show where support has been provided both to users of systems and to service delivery functions. Clearly show where you have investigated and resolved problems and provided information about systems and the monitoring of their performance. Need to have proven expertise in providing advice/training to users about application's functionality, correct operation or constraints, by devising work-arounds, correcting faults, making general or site-specific modifications, updating system documentation, manipulating data, or defining enhancements. Show where you have worked in close collaboration with Systems Developers.
Primary Skill Level:
Identifies and resolves problems with applications, following agreed procedures. Uses application management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics. Carries out agreed applications maintenance tasks.
Desirable Qaulifications:
- Oracle Weblogic 10g, 11g and 12c
- Oracle Headstart
- QMS standards
- Ocacle Designer
- Experience working in an international/military environment
- Experience working with software toolsets
- Experience in using one or more of C++, ASP, JAVA, and HTML programming languages
- Experience in technical design and development and integration of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products for complex data warehouse solutions, large scale document workflow management systems and high end websites and web content management tools
