On behalf of our client, a prestigious international Telecommunications company, Manning Global Group is currently looking for a Product Manager for Optical Network to be permanently based in Germany.
You will be our customer interface, responsible for supporting sales management and establishing, developing and closing business opportunities in the field of Optical Network products such as WDM/SDH, Mobile Backhauling and Microwave. You will be responsible for all the pre-sale support of Optical Network products in Germany, such as:
• Support pre-sales including quote, network design, proposal and pre-sale testing support.
• Seek out, identify, develop and close business opportunities with key service provider accounts. Collect and analyze all marketing information. Enhance customer relationship.
• Manage all activities and coordinate between our client and their service provider accounts. Promote full range of technologies solutions to defined customers. Produce and deliver formal business proposals and presentations.
• Identify key customer requirements and coordinate with Marketing Department and Research & Development to ensure that these requirements are implemented in the products.
• Create co-operative business plans with service providers and their partners, help to define new business models and support product features.
• Identify, quantify and recommend action plans to address new business opportunities according to overall strategy.

Required experience and qualifications:
• Good knowledge in the field of Optical Networks.
• At least 3 years of technical pre-sales or pro-sales working experience with the incumbents in Europe.
• Ability to understand customer’s needs in order to design the desired solution.
• Tender project experience is preferred.
• Proven ability to partner with service providers and develop new business models for service subscribers using new technologies.
• Proven ability to manage customer accounts in cooperation with Sales Management at technical level.
• Detailed knowledge of carrier business models and service management strategies.
• Familiar with major vendors’ Optical Network products.
• Minimum of Bachelor degree in telecommunications, computer science or electronics or equivalent experience.
• Over 3 years direct telecommunications and carrier network experience with a proven track record in an international telecom equipment company.
• A proven track record of building long-term relationships with strategic carrier accounts.
• Excellent collaboration skills with a wide variety of people (Product Management, Engineering, Marketing).
• Ability to show creativity and a different way of thinking. Must welcome challenges
• Willingness to travel.
• Good oral and written communication in German as well as English.
