For our client, we are looking for Lead Developer (m/f) on a freelance basis for Berlin
Project Start: ASAP
Project duration: 8 Months
Location: Berlin

You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic development team. We are developing and supporting applications in Java, AWS, Dynamo DB, Mongo DB, using the latest technologies and methodologies. You should be an experienced Java developer but also enthusiastic to learn other programming languages and technologies. You will have the opportunity to learn the full AWS development suite, eg elastic search, Jbpm, working in agile projects.
Some travel may be required during the first months for training.
Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of developers and provide Application designs to improve code quality
* Develop and maintain the coding standards and application architecture.
* Working on the products' Back End - develop and implement new features and enhance the existing ones
* use your development skills to improve efficiency, scalability, stability, and maintainability of the systems and their subsystems
* Code you have tested and promote for testers to tests perfectly supports the company's testing efforts
* Contribute to the system design as well as effort estimation and planning to strive to maintain a system without bugs
* Constantly improve on best practices when it comes to technical standards
* Keep documentation of design and source code detailed and structured
* Reviewing design and code to ensure a smooth and high quality development process
* Collaborate with different stakeholders on issues of design, development, and testing
Your Skills:
* You've worked in a related field for at least 5-10 years, you have acquired extensive experience in building and supporting large- scale applications
* You are an expert Java developer and capable of quickly learning and working in new coding languages
* You have extensive knowledge of Big Data databases eg Mongo, Dynamo, Oracle
* Any technical decisions you take are characterized by your business and quality awareness
* Motivated, team-spirited and open-minded, you constantly grow with your tasks
* Both working in a team and independently is something that you are comfortable with
* Working in English in both written and verbal communication is no problem for you
Mandatory Technologies:
* Java EE, Maven (various frameworks), Spring, Jenkins, Git, AWS (various services), SonarQube, JMeter, ElasticSearch, MongDB
Nice-To-Haves:
* Experience working with RPG, IBMi, AWS, Jbpm, AngularJS, PHP
* Knowledge in different developing methodologies
Languages:
* Written and spoken English know-how is demanded, all documentation will be in English
* German is a nice to have
