Ihre Aufgaben:
- Design, develop and deploy IT-solutions for the integration of automated high-performance screening systems in close collaboration with internal IT-specialists, engineers, scientists and external providers
- Analysis of the existing data management processes and IT-tools supporting automated high-performance screening in close collaboration with internal specialists and end users
- Collect requirements from scientists and translate them into IT-requirements for the adapation and upgrade of exisiting IT-tools and services
- Ensure the effective implementation of adaptations and improvements into these processes
- Test, validation, and roll-out activities for application changes
- Design and support the IT-integration of a new automated screening-platform in close collaboration with engineers
- Design and define the requirements for IT-applications and interfaces provided by external providers
Ihre Qualifikation
- Proven track record in process analysis and definition of IT-requirements
- Extensive experience in design and implementation of IT-solutions
- Translate business needs into IT-requirements and solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to extract specifications from client process needs
- Work effectively in teams across organisation
- Ability to work in a dynamic research environment
- English skills (German is optional)
- Strong understanding and practical experience of object-oriented (OO) concepts, programming, system design, enterprise application design and architecture
- Detailed understanding and strong hands-on experience of web services, service oriented architecture, messaging/integration patterns and n-tier development
- Understanding of design patterns and experience in applying SOA application designs
- Ability to identify and explain opportunities for design or performance improvement
- Strong understanding and practical experience in Java and Microsoft .NET-technologies, e.g. VB.net or C#, WCF, MQ/MSMQ, Java, XML, SOAP, REST, VB6
- Relational databases and programming experience with Oracle
- Understanding and practical experience of UML, object/data modeling and XML-design
- Experience with agile development techniques
- Knowledge with technical quality practices such as TDD, continuous integration, automated builds, refactoring, self-documenting code
- Knowledge and experience in IIS and Tomcat applications and Unix/Windows/Linux platforms
- Knowledge of SharePoint, BizTalk are a plus
