Task:to support Pharma Analytics product line as part of the BioProduction team. These products include
- Residual HosCt ell DNA assays,
- Mycoplasma and Viral Detection assays
- and MicroSeq bacterial and fungal identification system.
Position requires experience in a Biopharmaceutical Quantity Control or Analytical Sciences department.
- serving as a liaison between Product Management and R&D,
-supporting Marketing,
- Field Sales
- and the Field Applications Support groups to contribute to the timely market release and adoption of products.
- Collaborating with Sales organization to deliver technical presentations on products at customer sites, scientific conferences and via LiveMeeting.
- Technical expert to assist with development of marketing materials, technical presentations and training programs.
- Working with field based support to answer customer application questions.
- Develops and communicates methodologies for completing customer demonstrations.
- Understands customer needs, has an understanding of technology, a thorough knowledge of the demonstration goals and enables the field to articulate and achieve those goals.
- Coordination of Customer Test site evaluations for products in development. Able to contribute to the development of product protocol documents. Evaluates customer product performance issues (interacts with the customer, obtains samples and evaluates internally, etc.) and communicates internally on this evaluation to team meetings.
- Provides support in customer collaborations to ensure effective working relationships and timely adoption of products.
- Maintains routine communication to support product marketing and R&D in resolving any issues that may arise. Attends scientific meetings to interface with customers and gathers information on trends, products and discoveries affecting the product applications.
- Provides business unit with reports on customer success, product technical information and customer satisfaction for product group.
Requirements (Must have):
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) in Molecular Biology or Microbiology or related degree. Advanced degree desirable.
- Requires a minimum of 5-7 years of previous laboratory experience. Specific experience should include development, qualification and validation of PCR based methods for the detection and/or quantitation of contaminants in samples typical of Biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Should have a working knowledge of regulatory requirements, primarily FDA and EMEA, regarding the Validation, implementation and transfer of Analytical Methods.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in marketing, presenting and documenting technical materials a plus.
- Specific training or experience in customer relations (either internal or external) and support also desirable.
- Ability to evaluate scientific information in the form of journal articles or presentations and to interact with researchers in the product application area is required.
- Approximately 40% travel required.
