Our client is currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer/ Developer (m/f) in Essen.
- Act as a software engineer/developer (m/f) in a consulting role within a project focusing on predictive maintenance
- Drive Industrialization of a proof-of-concept and help the team to scale the solution internationally
- Design, develop, and deploy production-ready software for a big-data platform
- Provide visibility to software quality issues and work with the project team to fix those
- Implement agile methods to optimize software product development
Skills:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other closely related field
- Experience in software development
- Experience in project management in an agile setup
- Mastery of object-orient programming in several programming languages (e.g. Python, Scala, and Java)
- Knowledge or experience working with various database systems (e.g. SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop), query languages (e.g. SQL, Spark, Hive) and web APIs
- Ability to quickly understand business-oriented software development
- Strong product-oriented mindset
- Experience to work in a multinational work-environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
