Skills:
• Agile Methodologies; KanBan, Scrum, XP and/or Lean techniques particularly at scale within an organization
• XP and built-in quality practices – Continuous Integration, Test-first (BDD/TDD), Refactoring, Pair Programming
• Clean Code & Clean Architecture principles - SOLID, KISS, DRY, Design patterns, Onion Architecture, Micro services, etc.
• CI & CD tools such as TeamCity/Jenkins, Nexus, Docker, Octopus/Nolio
• Using Source Code Analysis tools such as SonarQube
• Agile Lifecycle Management tools such as Jira, Rally, TFS
• Agility at scale experience such as: Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD) - or other approaches / experience.
• Java technical background with experience in xUnit & BDD frameworks such as JUnit, Cucumber, JBehave
• Experience in helping teams automate testing for each area unit, component, functional & non-functional and end-to-end system, for both new and legacy code
Duties will include:
• Working with a small team of internal peers on the Agile Transformation team.
• Advising IT team members across all software disciplines on how to improve their effectiveness
• Hands-on pairing with team members to help them learn XP practices and obtain a software craftsmanship mind-set & attitude
• Run training sessions/workshops to introduce Software Craftsmanship principles & practices
• Assist & advise the organisation to move from an SDLC waterfall process to a more light weight agile approach that still fulfils the regulatory required sanctions
