Software Integrator and Release /Build ManagerYour Support as a Build/ Release Manager is required!
The project is about integrating many complex software branches.
Tasks:
- Integration and information
- CI setup of job monitors
- Stats
- Internal Coordination
- Initiate/automate weekly reviews with goal to approve/reject changes
- Merge approved changes
- Log/publish decisions
- External Coordination
- Organize and facilitate merge reviews with PXI Apps engineers (for escalated issues from internal meetings)
- Provide data for project briefing
- Releasing - "release manager"
- Release candidates preparation, testing
- Packaging and delivery
- Releasing also on project branch (tagging engineering release)
Required skills/experience:
- 2 year experience with integrating complex software code base (multiple projects, repositories and parallel development branches)
- 2 year experience of releasing SW (release candidates, release testing, documentation, delivery)
- GIT - power user and administration
- Jenkins continuous integration - power user and administration
- Python or shell scripting of repository management and merge/rebase tasks
- Atlassian BitBucket usage
- JIRA usage for issue tracking
- Organisational/communication skills - the successful candidate will have to arrange and coordinate code reviews (pull requests)
- English
Desirable skills:
- Python professional (the code base is in Python so ability to understand the code is a benefit)
