Duration: 6 -8 months
Key Responsibilities
Test Design & Continuous Improvement
Provide input into the development of Test Plans & Test Cases to Verify Functional and Non-Functional Quality of Networking Product Firmware.
Provide input into the development and maintenance of automated solutions for execution and reporting of test cases.
Test Execution
Manually Execute Test Cases to agreed schedule, recording results and providing data to support Investigations into any test failures.
Setup, Execute and Monitor Automated test runs.
Test Reporting & Documentation
Record Test Result output into relevant Test Reports and Log / Update Defect Information into Issue Tracking System.
Provide testing clarifications and result input into operational meetings where necessary.
Generate & maintain clear, accessible documentation of test setups and infrastructure, critical procedures, equipment inventories and test plans.

Qualifications
Academic or Vocational Qualification in Software Testing or Equivalent.
Industry Experience
Recent Experience testing consumer devices for Broadcast domain.
Proven exp of designing, writing and executing Functional, Non-Functional & automated TCs for Settop boxes, EPG, Headend and end to end testing
Technical & Personal Skills
Skilled at configuring and working within Linux & Windows OS Environments.
Reliable and consistent execution of test cases with high quality defect reporting
Proficient in the usage of Issue / Defect Management Systems (e.g. Jira, TRAC, Bugzilla, Redmine).
Hands on experience with test Automation technologies e.g. Bamboo, JUnit, Selenium etc
Candidate Specification - Desirable
Qualifications
Degree or Equivalent in Engineering Discipline.
Industry Experience
Recent experience working as a Test Engineer on devices for MSOs.
Web based complex application testing.
Technical & Personal Skills
Be an expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (including Flash, After Effects)
Have excellent understanding of Action Scripts
Proficient in network packet / protocol analysis using tools such as packet sniffers, Wireshark or equivalents to verify behaviour.
Proficient in the use of Scripting Languages (e.g. Bash, PHP, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, VB.Net).
