Development - Technical Consultant (w/m) Ref. - Nr. 8345 NPContract: freelancer or employee

Core functions & responsibilities:
- Determine requirements and processes for developer and partner support including FAQs, blogs, knowledge base, discussion boards and technical support
- Drive technical content strategy and roadmaps for programs, using developer feedback and market research
- Monitor technical email queries and forums to ensure developer inquiries are being answered and that technical content is addressing issues
- Work directly with consultants, 3rd parties and Core Technical Support organization to create technical content
- Ensure proper support processes are set up
- Ensure desired activities are occurring with technical audiences, regarding participation on forums, use of knowledge base, tech support, and document/tool downloads
- Drive support for map data-related questions
- Ensure partners address tool-related questions from main discussion boards, developer feedback and trouble ticket system
- Ensure proper level of information to shared with various developers, dependent on their status. Monitor internal communication processes and tools daily
- Assemble and update new technical content for site
- Manage optimal set of sample data clips and resources to be made available through program (web download or DVD) and other site content like GDF viewer, Dynamic Update Request process
- Determine training requirements, and drive development of training materials via marketing and content team
- Evaluate new partners, developers for technical competency, utility and processes, as needed
Experience and skills:
- Undergraduate degree and/or graduate degrees in a relevant discipline
- Minimum of 10 years industry experience, including wireless, software development, customer service, developer support management
- Experience in a developer support organization, working with a variety of programming languages, tool chains, support systems and development platforms
- Demonstrable experience in mobile device development such as Apple iPhone, Google Android, Blackberry, Java Micro Edition, or other platforms, is required
- Experience in client-side Web development, such as Javascript, is required
- Experience in Map Solute APIs, such as MapTP Web Service APIs, MapTP AJAX, MapTP Mobile Kit, or other map APIs, is a plus
- Server-side Web development (PHP, Perl, ASP, etc) and an understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Experience in team leadership
