Project Description
CIP - Global requirements definition
The Customer Interaction Portal (CIP) initiative of our customer started in 2008 with the implementation of a single instance of a SAP Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application within the group to reduce the number of redundant CRM applications. This CRM implementation is based on a global CRM template which defines the global functions and their keys and codes.
Within the Project „CIP - Global requirements definition” the requirements of a global template for the four major systems of Customer Interaction Portal will be defined.
Additionally there is the need to increase functionality in marketing and sales oriented processes such as price and margin management (PMM) as well as business rules management (BRM). Last but not least the eCommerce functionality of our customer shall be integrated into the CIP platform.
Therefore the platform CIP deals with four major systems:
• Customer Relationship Management
• Price and Margin Management
• Business Rule Management
• eCommerce
The goal of this CIP platform is to improve the quality and efficiency of customer interaction by providing one central entry point to customer related information and transactions for all customer employees within their different job functions. Our vision is support the translation of business strategies to operational excellence with the help of the global Customer Interaction Portal (CIP).
Role description
SAP CRM 7.0 Template based Impl. Project approach to implement the CRM core template includes the pilot implementation within the business units G-KTI, E-KTE and EM-BCS. For those Pilots the business blue print phases are currently being performed. Our customer needs support to finalize the business blue prints as well as to prepare and run the implementation of these pilots.
This includes: Documentation of Customer Requirements Writing of functional and technical specifications, customizing, test and training Supp.
• Documentation of Customer Requirements The identified business processes, need to be documented in a way, that the business is able to compare the documented processes with their business requirements. The business needs to sign off this documentation, and therewith approves that the processes documented cover the customer requirements. The documentation includes but is not limited to:
• Functional Requirements (Business process)
• Data Requirements – Functional Data model
• Process model
• Functional Process description
The Customer Requirements documentation will be input for:
• Functional Specification
The functional specification contains, but is not limited to:
• Requirements (for implementation)
• Functional description
• User interface
• System interface
• Access control
• Test strategy
• Acceptance specifications
The functional specification needs to be signed by the customer. The customer therewith approves that the documented functions support the defined business processes. The functional specification documentation will be handed over to the technical consultant and will be input for:
• Technical Specification The technical Specification will be handed over to the development team and needs to be at a level that an experienced developer can carry out the development without any further explanation by the business consultant and can be offered as a fixed price. For each functional specification 1 ore more technical specifications are to be provided. Each development object (report, dynpro, form, screen …) needs to be documented in a separate technical specification and need to be linked to the functional specification. The development method and the effected system component is to be named
