FTTH Engineer/Technician:
Our client is a leading communications Goup, specializing in Telecommunications and energy in 12 country's. They have a contracted by a leading telecommunications operator Germany to execute the FTTH passive network installation on their behalf.
you should be fully conversant with the mechanics of fiber industries particularly in the construction methodologies for a roll out of last mile passive network installations.
Job Responsibilities
The FTTH Fiber Optic Team Leader shall be required to have strong experience in all the functions of the passive network installations, provide clear leadership and direction to the other members of the team on a day to day basis and solve problems related to the execution of such tasks.
The Team Leader shall be expected to have the required skills to be able to ensure that their team and themself carry out the following duties:
- Installations of underground Tube Distribution Closure
- Mounting of Optical Distribution Point (ODP and MFG)
- Blowing of micro-cable inside Ducts
- Fusion Splicing
- Testing of Fibre Works:
- Tier 1 - Testing of end to end power loss at 3 wavelengths and 1550nm
- Tier 2 - OTDR Testing of end to end fibre connectivity from ODP
- Testing of connector cleanliness
Key Competencies/Skills
For an FTTH Last Mile - Field Team Leader a five (2) years' experience in the same field is needed. Moreover, candidates need to speak German and have a valid driving license; availability to be displaced.
Education: Experience in similar function in FTTH.
