Beschreibung

Aufgaben:

  • To manage the assigned EIBU Software engineering project(s) in line with the department's quality system. The primary responsibility is to deliver the project(s) on quality, cost and time

  • To identify all issues, inefficiencies and risks that prevent us from delivering successful SW projects and to address such items with the SW management team. To propose suitable solutions and use common sense and best practice to avoid negative impact on the project

  • To drive and support communication with other engineering disciplines and teams

  • To perform any other relevant duties as required

  • Focus on quality: establish and monitor quality and technical targets

  • Focus on budget: establish and monitor Software project budget

  • Focus on time: establish and follow up on Software timing schedule

  • Coordinate SW project estimations for labour and materials cost, timing, risk and feasibility

  • Project planning (establishment of initial timing plans, budgets, objectives and risk analysis)

  • Project resourcing: establish organisation, identify resource requirements (capability and capacity)

  • Initiate SW project kick-off, present project background, objectives and direction

  • Establish (tailor) and implement project control, follow-up and reporting system and make sure the procedures of the SW quality system are followed

  • Manage, motivate and monitor the engineers assigned to the project

  • Prepare and deliver project status reports to Software Management team and conduct weekly team meetings to ensure communication and tracking within the team

  • Handle communication and coordination with other discipline teams and project stakeholders

  • Change management: Coordinate activities and provide SW response to change requests

  • Track software development activities and make sure they adhere to timing plan and budget

  • Releases and customer deliveries

  • All other items required to successfully deliver the project


Qualifikationen:

  • Electronics, computer engineering or similar degree

  • 5+ years of experience in automotive embedded software engineering

  • 3+ years of experience in managing automotive embedded software projects

  • Good knowledge of automotive embedded SW engineering

  • Experience in working on larger automotive projects

  • Experience in working in distributed teams (internationally)

  • Experience in project management for automotive embedded SW projects

  • Proficient in using project management tools such as time planning, riskmanagement and change management

  • Good presentation preparation and delivery skills

  • General knowledge of hardware and mechanical engineering principles and technologies

  • Experience with full graphic instrument clusters

  • Fully versant in PC operations (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Socionext GDCs (Miranda) knowledge would be a bonus

  • Green Hills INTEGRITY OS knowledge would be a bonus

  • Socionext CGI Studio Toolchain knowledge would be a bonus

  • APIX2 Video + Ethernet implementation knowledge would be a bonus

  • Excellent team player

  • Good leadership skills

  • Meticulous and disciplined

  • Diplomatic and customer focused attitude

  • Flexible and dedicated, focus on project success

  • Excellent German in speech and writing

  • Excellent English in speech and writing

  • Valid passport and driving license

  • Readiness to travel (Germany and Europe)
