Task:Our customer is seeking a Java Developer to work as an integral part of the FX&MM Trading and Connectivity team. The successful candidate will join a high profile project and contribute to the development using his/her excellent Java skills. The candidate needs to be able to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
The challenge involves design and development of new components related to the FX B2B application. The candidate will have experience of working with multi-threaded designs, distributed systems and efficient API design. Hands-on experience with profiling tools is also preferred. Previous work experience on client facing.
The role requires an excellent command of the Java programming language (Java SE), knowledge of design patterns and industry best practices. Experience with any of: 29 West (LBM, UME), TIBCO Rendezvous, Unix (Solaris), Subversion, SQL (RDBMS) - would be a definite advantage.
To be successful, the candidate must be extremely motivated, self-driven and committed. Excellent communication skills to liase with end users, support staff, and business management are essential. The ideal candidate would demonstrate expertise in Object Oriented Software Design combined with a good sense for pragmatic solutions.
Requirements (Must have):
Bachelor degree Maths or physics with a computing element or computer engineering.
Should have a self-driven personality with problem solving skills and be a fast learner.
English required.
experience in a professional Java software development environment.
Nice to have:
Foreign Exchange applications would be very advantageous.
