SelfMade empowers people to be the creative director of their lives. We have a rapidly growing member base excited by this value prop, and we’re looking to expand our design team to help deliver it. In addition, we have a dedicated group of photo editors all over the world, and we are constantly improving their experience. SelfMade is a unique company that requires innovative, thoughtful, and powerful design.We want a product designer who can shift gears and design for all of these needs. You should be a well-rounded designer that can bring research, UX, and visual design expertise to our team. You will be joining a small team where each member plays a huge role in defining the culture. We want passionate, kind, smart, ambitious, and talented designers to help us build SelfMade.
YOU
- Are a full-stack designer - ready to do everything from abstracting complex user flows to tweaking subtle animations in our mobile app
- Solve problems holistically, including considerations that extend beyond the screen, such as “What will my friend think of this picture I’m sharing?”
- Love crafting beautiful web and mobile products that real people use
- Have an elevated aesthetic sense and can create elegant designs
- Are experienced in managing your own projects from concept to creation
- Understand how to develop information architecture to support complex interaction models and customer flows. Your process includes customer research and usability tests
- Appreciate an iterative design processes with feedback loops
- Are obsessed with the user, eager to get your hands dirty and gather research about the best way to solve a problem
- Love technology. Knowledge of HTML and CSS are a plus
- Are hungry to build something audacious
- Love collaboration.
- Have a portfolio demonstrating functional, simple, and delightful user interfaces
- Have expertise with Sketch and/or Adobe
- Have a proven track-record of working with multiple stakeholders to complete great product work
- Have strong communication skills, extremely organized, etc
- Have experience in visual, UX, and/or product design
