Our client is currently looking for a Safety Engineer (f/m) E-Mobility
for a project in Mannheim.
- Design, develop, implement model based production control and diagnostic algorithms in Simulink/TargetLink which meet functional software requirements
- Consider formal software programming guidelines and quality metrics with focus on ISO26262
- Generate software design specifications based on existing documents / requirements
- Interact with Software Architect, Project Manager, Controls System Engineer, other Algorithm-Design-Engineers to define & coordinate interfaces, functional software content & requirements
- Develop and run non-formal functional software tests on desk level using simulation methods & evaluation/target boards
Qualifications:
- Successfully completed engineering degree in control engineering or similar
- Several years automotive experience in model based development using Simulink & TargetLink for embedded controllers with implementation of functional safety relevant requirements
- Knowledge of applied model based programming & quality guidelines, e.g. MAAB, MISRA for Simulink
- Knowledge of automotive embedded systems, software processes, application tools, e.g. CANoe, CANape
- Good knowledge of implementing / modeling features according to ISO26262 standard
- Experience with model based system simulation for algorithm development and test
- Experience with ISO26262 software projects
- Experience with DOORS
- Knowledge of Automotive SPICE standard
- E-Mobility, power electronics background (e.g. inverter control) is a plus
- Ability of systems thinking and structured approach

Required languages: Very good German and English skills spoken and written
