Job Title: Big-Data Administrator
Location: Munich, Germany
Duration: 6 months + contract
Start: ASAP
Rate: Negotiable
Note:
* First min criteria is Cloudera certified administrator.
* Secondly he or she should have set up large clusters and auto provisioning of infrastructure.
* Thirdly a DBA in his/her past life.
* DevOps skills.
Role:
* Working with the engineering team to propose and deploy hardware and software required for Hadoop environments.
* Look after the Cluster setup and automated provisioning of the infrastructure.
* Maintenance of Cluster as well as creation and removal of nodes using tools like Cloudera Manager Enterprise or other tools.
* Thorough Monitor Hadoop cluster connectivity and security.
* Managing and reviewing Hadoop log files, File system management and monitoring.
* HDFS support and maintenance.
* Performance tuning of Hadoop clusters and simulating large data loads.
* Collaborate with application teams to install Hadoop updates, patches, version upgrades when required.
Job Details:
* Cloudera Administrator certified.
* 8+ years of experience in Software development, infrastructure management and over 3+ years in setup, configuration, deployment, provisioning & administration of Hadoop infrastructure.
* Build the Devops process of automated code build and deployment across environments.
* Implementation experience in Cloudera cluster setup, configuration and administration.
Technical Skills:
* Hands on experience on Scripting languages like python/Shell.
* Good knowledge of Linux and Unix commands and Unix file systems.
* Deploy Hadoop cluster, add and remove nodes, keep track of jobs, monitor critical parts of the cluster, configure name-node high availability.
* General operational expertise such as good troubleshooting skills, understanding of system's capacity, bottlenecks, basics of memory, CPU, OS, storage, and networks.
* Knowledge of Troubleshooting Core Java Applications.
