Our client is a global Pharmaceutical company.
The Global SAP MDM Lead will be part of a new and developing function responsible for developing master data management capabilities and managing the company master data assets on a global scale. The primary responsibility of the Global SAP MDM Lead is to implement robust data governance across our client’s SAP environment in order to support global operations, global processes and global reporting initiatives.

Lead SAP Master Data Governance – Global Pharma Industry

Requirements:
Define and implement a sustainable global governance model across a global SAP platform.
Design and execute strategy to ensure global master data process activities are aligned with global business process strategies.
Design and execute strategy to achieve optimized level of process efficiency and effectiveness through standard global master data measures & metrics and customer service levels.
Lead MDM process stream within our client’s Global SAP Program:
Identify and help define master data requirements across various “mega-processes”, such as Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, Supply-to-Plan, etc.
Define and drive data profiling, cleansing, remediation and migration activities
Responsible for managing and overseeing the operation of the SAP MDM work stream, including setting strategic priorities with the leadership team, setting milestones, reviewing progress, reporting status, etc.
Define and implement the SAP MDM work stream’s managerial approach including: data quality goals, master data policies, communications, change management, roles, reporting structure and develop the master data management implementation plan.
Lead the successful roll-out of master data governance model and processes across all sites and affiliates.
Lead the successful implementation of a master data governance tool (e.g. SAP MDG or similar solution) and manage its continued development post-go live.
Design, build and lead a team of data stewards responsible for day-to-day master data operations.
Update and develop policies and procedures with focus on operational efficiencies through data quality and standardization.
Directing day-to-day master data management activities across a virtual global organization.
Prioritize in cooperation with cross-functional governance board data standardization & system alignment initiatives and leads timely execution.
Support system development activities by assisting in requirements gathering, the drafting of test scripts, test execution, etc.
Developing continuous improvement mindset by constantly striving for ways to strengthen “end to end” process perspective for complex global business process master data and level process efficiencies on a global scale.
Recruit, retain and train MDM resources as needed to ensure a sustainable shared service capability delivering agreed upon service levels.

Profile:
Previous experience in a data governance-related role.
Strong background in the pharmaceutical/biologics/fine chemicals/FMCG industry, preferably in a supply chain, manufacturing or quality role.
Strong foundation in SAP ECC and various modules
Functional knowledge of key SAP “mega-processes” (e.g. OTC, PTP, etc.).
Domain expertise in one or more of the following data domain: customer, vendor, product, material
Experience with designing and implementing data governance programs
Experience preparing and facilitating workshops for design and implementation of MDM solutions
Hands on experience with data cleansing, enrichment and migration.
Demonstrated experience with data management practices, data governance concepts and data management tools.
Demonstrated experience with large scale SAP implementation projects.
Demonstrated experience in delivering master data management capabilities.
Passion for managing information as a corporate resource; recognizes the business value of data.
Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional business relationships.
Strong leadership skills.
Strong analytical skills, in terms of both data and process management.
Ability to cope with ambiguity and implement structure and clarity.
Ability to work well with people at various levels and with different cultural backgrounds.
Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Visio)
Excellent verbal and written communications
A degree in scientific/engineering or commercial discipline.

Language
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, other languages considered an asset. (French)
