New GL Migration Senior SAP Consultant for Bangalore / India (m/f)
Tasks
Senior Consultant PACE (Pro-Active Customer Engagement) Solution
Business blue print for New GL Activation:
Present an overview of New GL functionalities, conduct BBP workshop for gathering business requirement for using New GL functionalities like Document Split, enabling segment reporting. Preparation of the Business Blueprint and sign off thereby will be the joint responsibility of the Team from Licensee and SAP Consultant.
Realization:
a. Carry out the customizing required in New GL for meeting the business requirement as per the business blue print document. Conduct unit testing to ensure that, customizing meet the business requirements
b. Carry out the customizing required in the SAP Migration Cockpit for executing the New GL migration.
c. Preparation of Functional Specifications for development required if any for migration of data. As part of Migration ALL open items and balances shall be migrated with old definition of Profit Center & Business Area (wherever exist) & where empty or dummy derivation rules will be used for migrating the items
Migration Execution:
Use the SAP migration cockpit and execute various steps to perform New GL migration. Three cycles of New GL migration would be executed as under.
Test Migration 1 in a mock client with Production Data.
Test Migration 2 in regular quality client with production data
Finally in Productive system client.
Complete the baseline configuration testing and guide Customer team in all other testing to be carried out in this project.
Requirements
SAP FICO consultant with three full life cycle implementations and one upgrade project Classic GL to New GL Migration experience.
Ability to understand Financial Migration process, experience in coordinating with developers
Deep knowledge of Finance, GL, AR, AP, AA.
It is a plus to have knowledge of BPC
Ability to lead configuration, testing, and cutover of migration
Experience in communicating with SAP Support (OSS) for any system bugs and defects. Deep familiarity with OSS Notes applications.
Experience in Classic FM, FI-CO
Analyze user requirements; translate high-level requirements into detailed functional specification.
Hands on experience in developing technical specifications for SAP custom modules and interface programs.
Experience in conducting system verification and validation by examining the correctness, completeness, reliability, and maintainability at each step in the development process
Review all development efforts affecting existing functionality to understand integration and process impact and ensure reliability, and completeness of the development process.
Appropriate degrees from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.
Technical skills required are cited above.
Ability to propose creative and optimal solutions and drive the entire project.
Excellent team player with superior communication skills (oral and written)
Prior financial systems development and/or professional experience
English fluent
