A Renewable Energy Operator is looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to work at their offices in Hamburg focussing on an offshore wind farm pre-construction project. This will be a freelance contract for initially 12 months, starting as soon as possible. The Procurement Officer will report to the Head of Offshore Procurement.
Please note: German speaking is essential and local contractors will be preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic and operational procurement for the offshore wind related tenders and contracts
- Development of sourcing strategies to identify and implement savings potential as well as concepts for securing resources
- Steering of targeted development of suppliers and new supplier sources and markets as agreed
- Closing of framework agreements within the own area of responsibility, utilisation of relevant existing framework agreements
- Intensive cooperation with the project teams as well as Asset Management and legal and other business interfaces
- Tracking and ensuring planned cost reductions
- Identification and ensuring of company internal and overall procurement synergies as well as identifying and minimizing procurement risks
- University degree in Business Administration or comparable background with in-depth work experience
- Specialist knowledge in procurement in the energy business and relevant supplier knowledge in offshore wind
- Good technical understanding - technical background beneficial
- Strong performance orientation, ability to handle conflicts and business acumen
- Mobility and experience in complex procurement projects
- Ability to work in intercultural teams
- Distinctive team player who enjoys cooperating within the client's Procurement community
- Willingness and ability to travel
- Business fluent in German and English; with Danish and Swedish language skills as an advantage.
- Able and willing to travel regularly
- Proactive work attitude, highly communicative.
