Principal Consultant Compute, Storage & Backup

Your responsibilities as a Principal Consultant Compute, Storage & Backup
In your role as Principal Consultant for Compute, Storage & Backup, you will play a key role to Plan, research, and develop Data Center architecture for Private/Hybrid Cloud setup at Customer premises. You will develop solutions, proposal, effort estimation and presentation for DC design Compute, Storage and backup and develop Architecture, high level and low level physical logical DC, storage and backup design drawings and design documents. You will also ensure that technical solutions meet the needs of business such as flexible, cost, performance, and security. In addition, you will Identify AS-IS datacenter setup, review, and recommend potential opportunities for smooth migration, service quality improvement, and operational efficiency understanding customer functional and technical constraints as well as expectations from future Datacenter Infrastructure. You will provide design level support to Virtualization & Infra implementation team for project delivery and problem resolutions and understand and analyze detailed BOM of various virtualization and infra solutions from partner OEMs
With a team of 10-15 other employees, you are not only a thought leader in your field, but also the most important consultant and first point of contact for our customers. As a very important "point of contact" you will Liaise with internal technology partners and external vendors to ensure effective communication and collaboration to ensure solution completeness. In addition, you will lead and mentor your team in project processes as well as the development and delivery of deliverables.
In your role, it is essential to always consider both sides - the customer's perspective and that of the technical team. With excellent analytical skills and a knack for tackling problems head on, you will find the right solution for all stakeholders and effectively put it into action. You should be able to speak English and German is optional
Qualifications required
• Expert in technologies - HPE 3Par, Veeam, HP Store once, VCF, VMWare NSX/NSXT Implementation, SAN, NAS, Backup and DR solutions
• Basic Knowledge on Netapp, Veritas, Dell EMC, Data domain, HPE synergy, Hyper Converged Infrastructure
• Private Cloud experience desired (migrating from traditional/virtual datacenter to cloud services)
• Hands-on experience on at least 2 / 3 Hypervisor (VMware, Hyper-V, OVM, Xen, KVM etc.) technology is desired
• Comprehensive knowledge on designing Software Defined Data Centre (SDDC) based setup using VMware or Microsoft
• Deep understanding of two or three virtualization platforms VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V & Red Hat RHEV and virtualization techniques, virtual switches, virtual storage, and cloud services modelling
• Clear understanding of Networking, Blade/Rack Servers & Unified Storages and Converged Systems is required.
• VMWare Certified Professional -- Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV) or Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) or HP MASE
