Network Team Leader - Richmond - 3 Month initial contract - Inside IR35
We're currently recruiting for an interim Network Team Leader/Manager for a well-known establishment based in Richmond. This is a hybrid role of 70% technical and 30% management - the successful Network Team Leader will be managing a team of 5 engineers who are responsible for operational tasks and project delivery.
The Network Team Leader will be working within an enterprise environment of over 200 Servers, 4000 end users, and two data centres providing a 24-hour service to users.
This is an interim position while the client seeks a permanent replacement, however there will scope to extend once a replacement has been found, operating in a technical capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Network operations and the management of network engineers who will look to you for tactical problem-solving and personalised mentorship.
- Stays on top of new technologies and looks for streamlining and improving current systems and security.
- Development and execution of strategies in line with technological changes and the organisation's business needs.
Essential Experience:
- Proven track record of managing small teams of technical engineers
- 10 years of experience in delivering and supporting networks in a large enterprise environment (3500+ users & 220+ Servers).
- Confident planning and implementing system changes on live platforms and supporting the delivery of the IT program.
- They will require knowledge and experience in the majority of the following below and have technical responsibility for a largely Cisco-based infrastructure, including:
Cisco Core, Distribution, Edge and Data Centre Switches
Cisco Wireless
Cisco Adaptive Security Appliances
Cisco Firewall Management Centre
Cisco Identity Service Engine
Cisco Prime
Cisco DNA Centre
Checkpoint Firewalls - Cisco Certified Network Professional level engineer
