Für unseren Kunden aus der Versicherungsbranche suchen wir ab 01.05. einen VMWare infrastructure engineer (m/w/d).Bitte reichen Sie ihr Profil in Englischer Sprache oder alternativ in Word Format ein.

Laufzeit: 3 Monate mit Verlängerung
Auslastung: 100% (40h pro Woche)
Einsatzort: ca. 80% remote | ca. 20% Köln. Der vor Ort Anteil kann sich im Laufe des Projektes ggf. ändern

Task:
• You drive forward the evolution of the client’s server virtualization platform, gradually evolving to the private cloud concept and software defined datacenter capabilities
• BAU activities in the technology domain (such as VM resource expansion reduction (cpu, mem, disk), Backup checks and VM recovery, SRM checks & maintenance, vulnerability remediation, patching, …)
• You provide level 2 to 4 support for virtualization related incidents & problems
• You drive the activities of local contractors and third parties involved in L1/L2 support
• You actively participate in projects (e.g vCF plaform setup for next-generation on premises hosting solution, Platform evolution, Core IT refresh, Security remediation & related parameter adaptation rollouts)
• You organize knowledge Transfer to colleagues
• You provide consultancy & feedback towards the clients markets and Service Management teams
• You are on standby (24/7) one week a month and can participate to Early Morning Operations (EMO) or planned changes out of business hours
• You participate to DRP tests campaigns
• You actively participate in audits remediations and security projects
• You participate actively to the backlog management of the team (sprint plannings, reviews, status meetings, …)
• You provide and share documentations
• You provide capacity management reporting and visibility on action
Must-Have-Skills:
• VMWare vSphere 6.x, vCenter 7, vCSA 7, ESXi7, vSAN, SRM, vROps, vRA, vcF, vCenter Photon OS appliances, LogInsight, NSX-T
• Windows Server 2016 and 2019
• Scripting skills and automation : PowerShell, Python, Terraform
• Basics of Windows and Linux
• Proven experience in IT production environment (incident, 24H/7 on duty, early morning organization), with DRP architecture.
• A good experience on Vmware migration & upgrade.
• Audit and security skills.
• Strong general knowledge in IT and Datacenter infrastructure architectures
Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Hyperconvergent solution skills is appreciated Nutanix PRISM, Netapp HCI
• HP and/or IBM Hardware
• SAN HBA usage & connectivity
• LAN NIC usage & connectivity
• Directory Services (AD/LDAP awareness to enable central security management)
• ITIL processes
