Area of responsibilities
Good Understanding of networking protocols- BGP, OSPF, TCP/ IP and security protocols- SSL, IPsec, VPN technologies
Hands on experience in Routers, Switches, Firewalls (Multi-Vendor)
Hands on experience in network management tools
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and Layer 1 and 2 connectivity problems
Working with Monitoring tools and identification of events / incidents
Ticket logging, classification, prioritization, escalation
Perform simple activities (Device health check, Co-ordination with users and other teams, Switch restart, Configuring switch interface, Firewall rule creation etc.) by following Standard Operating Procedures / Knowledge Base articles.
Prioritizing and escalating with Manager on duty (MOD) to ensure timely resolution
Incident & Service Request Management within Service Level Agreement
