Functional Safety Manager (m/f/d)

Main tasks:
- As Functional Safety Manager at the commercial vehicle business unit, you will ensure that the team of around 10 functional safety engineers is flawlessly cooperating with the total group of engineers worldwide (architecture, software, hardware, optics, mechanics), and ensure the right direction in different projects according to relevant standards and technical development of the Stoneridge product platform
- A central product in this business unit is MirrorEye, the innovative camera-based replacement for the traditional rearview mirrors on trucks. The system includes new intelligent functions in vehicle applications, e.g. object detection. You are part of the development of these innovation in automotive industry. You ensure that all our products are safe
- You are responsible for planning and leading functional safety work in on-road trucks, heavy equipment, fork lift and agriculture vehicles according to the related industry standards, e.g. ISO 26262 and ISO61508
- You are responsible for functional safety to Stoneridge products in the CV business unit
- You are responsible for leading safety analysis: HARA, FMEA, FTA, functional safety concept, technical safety concept
- You synchronize functional safety and technical implementations within different disciplines
- Compilation of the safety case
- You ensure that functional safety is correctly and efficiently embedded in the organization
Main qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Profound experience working with Functional Safety Standards (ISO26262, IEC61508)
- Experience in safety management and leadership
- Profound experience with Product Development Life Cycle
