* Evaluation of new software releases and patches with emphasis to security related updates.
* Direct the implementation of patches and minor releases in case they are relevant to the usability of the product
* Install server farm (e.g. Citrix)
* Conduct relevant tests and quality asurance
* Trigger the Change Management
* Support front office in deployment and adaptations of virtual desktops
* Manage a virtual desktop environment
* Support configuration and modifications of VDI platforms
* Provide profound technical support for problem identification and root cause analysis for problems with applications in service and providing infrastructure.
* Perform problem Management and creation of problem solving guides
* 2nd/3rd level support management
* Escalate to vendor if required, based on existing maintenance contracts.
* Implement changes to the configuration of an application due to usability reasons or infrastructure changes.
* Perform administration and operational task (platform capacity and performance, add/remove servers, etc.)
* Perform license service administration (inventory, installation)
* Implement new VDI workers to infrastructure
* Manage and perform incident & problem management, 3rd line support and problem resolution coordination for products implemented and provide a single point of contact for agreed service elements
* "Manage and run Hypervisor (XenServer) Management, including, among others:
* Operate XenServer Hosting Infrastructure
* Define the pre-requisites for the SW-distribution process
* Conduct security patch deployment
* "Manage and run virus protection, including, among others:
* Supply VDI / TS images mit AV Offload scan agents (McAfee) to connect to the central management console for administration and monitoring the AV infrastructure
* Definition of group configurations, offload settings, notifications and agent updates
* Check the error boxes and log files and solve reported errors
* Monitor versions of scan agents and virus pattern for all VDI Clients to be in an up-to-date state
* Solve problems while connecting to new Offload scan engines or after antivirus pattern updates
* Immediate escalation to Airbus Defence and Space IT-Security if a virus pattern is detected at a defined number of client systems in a defined timeframe
* Reporting about VDI utilization
* Manage and support Global Active Directory within a global AD management framework
* VWS Domain integration services affects the domain only for Terminal services, VDI images of Windows 7 or Windows 10
* Incident & service request management system (Remedy) is available
* Test environment (HW & SW) and access available for PROVIDER
* A security policy will be communicated and enforced to end-users allowing them to accept patches, on a regular basis, by requiring a minimum production network connection frequency
