Beschreibung
Für unseren Kunden suchen wir einen sehr erfahrenen Server / Storage System Engineer wie folgt:
Kurzbeschreibung
? Providing system support for infrastructure hardware running Windows operating systems and administration tools for storage and backup operations.
? Coordinating changes in this area of systems by using ServiceNow IT Service Management tool ensures planning, execution and documentation of system changes
? For example the server uptime meets the defined Service Levels and any requested changes are made with due diligence and clear roll back plans.
Hauptaufgaben
? Ensure the ongoing operations, availability and stability for infrastructure such as servers and storage/SAN equipment along with structured cabling
? Install and decommission infrastructure components per guidelines and change ticket orders
? Incident handling, troubleshooting, and system hardware replacement/upgrades
? Off hour on call support (rotational basis)
? Creation, maintenance and provision of data room facilities inventory system, documentation and reports
? Liaise with building facilities and various IT management teams relative to data room operations and project activity
? Perform other responsibilities and tasks as required or directed
? Maintain inventory of infrastructure stock equipment
Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
? Ability to deal efficiently with complex, critical escalations and difficult situations under pressure, such as restoring services
? Strong team working skills but also able to work alone
? Consistent and analytical way of thinking
? Ability to participate in conference calls, explain and defend complicated concepts
? Ability to coordinate multitasking work performed by several individuals
Anforderungen
? 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
? A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
? Experience with various aspects of data center technology infrastructure management and operations preferred
? Fluent spoken and written English is required
? Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
? Experience of working in larger-scale data centers is a plus
? Knowledge of Dell hardware, EMC storage platforms and Veritas NetBackup basics is preferred
? An overall understanding of facility technologies (HVAC, power distribution, generated back-up power, rack management & DC cable plant) and experience in a high-availability environment
? Ability to work and team with a multitude of different people to balance demands
? Ability to work in virtual, cross-border teams
? Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change
? Certifications is not a must but would be a plus.
