Michael Bailey Associates is now recruiting for a SME Remote Network Engineer for an initial 3 Months Contract working for our Multinational Telecommunications Client.The ideal candidate will support one of the world's leading software development company's Internet Access Infrastructure as the highest tier of technical expert. The role involves advanced troubleshooting, complex change implementation, and working in various network management, ticketing and back-office systems.
The ideal candidate must have previous Experience using;
- Strong routing/switching knowledge and experience (Enterprise/Data Center) Cisco IOS, IOS XR (Cat , ASR 1000, ASR 9000) Cisco Nexus switches (2K, 5K, 7K, 9K) eBGP (public IP), iBGP, OSPF, static routing Overlays - GRE, IPSec, Cisco DMVPN Monitoring Systems (Netflow, Syslog, SNMPv2/3)
- Experience with Thousand Eyes is an advantage
- Advanced Knowledge in DNS, AD, DHCP and application flows
- Cisco ACI know-how (spine/leaf configuration, VxLAN) Basic OpenStack Neutron know-how and SDN Configurations
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices
- Ability to lead technical investigation and provide clear updates to the customer and the Major Incident Manager
Industry standard qualifications in one or more of the listed above is desirable but equivalent experience will also be acceptable, such as Cisco, CCNA, CCNP
