DB2 Systems Administrator 8224
Location: Dublin City Centre
Duration: 12 months rolling contract
Are you a DB2 Systems Administrator searching for your next contract position? A major client of Stelfox's are looking to recruit an experienced DB2 Administrator to join the team in Dublin to work on their Mainframe platform.
We are looking for someone skilled in building, configuring, tuning infrastructure in a highly available & secure environment. and proven experience of leading out on DB2 or IMS software upgrades.

Key Technical Requirements:
- Strong experience as a DB2 systems administrator working on a Mainframe platform
- Extensive technical knowledge of DB2 with expertise in building, configuring, tuning infrastructure in a highly available and secure environment.
- Knowledge of SMP/E and proven experience of leading out on DB2 or IMS software upgrades.
- Experience with IBM, CA, BMC, Compuware toolset for DB2
- Knowledge of installing & tuning monitoring tools, eg. Omegamon, Mainview, TDS
- Familiarity with RACF security products with ability to design optimal security solutions for subsystems and applications.
- Experience of working in data sharing environments with extensive knowledge of coupling facility structures
- Performing end to end subsystem and application diagnostics
Desirable:
- Experience with one or more of CICS, IMS, MQ, RACF, z/OS, SA zOS or
- WebSphere Application Server
