New position open for a SDH/WDM Planning Engineer with good knowledge of fiber/OSNR/PMD/
Dispersion to work for a Market leading telecommunications company based in Stuttgart, Germany. 3 month initial contract position. Candidates must be fluent German and English speakers. Rates are competitive

Key Experience:

Knowledge of Networking Technologies such as SDH/PDH/WDM/OTN/Hybrid MSTP/ATM/Optical fiber,leased line;

Good knowledge of fiber/OSNR/PMD/Dispersion;

Experience in optical project engineering or maintenance is essential;

Diploma in Telecommunication or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or minimum 3 years practical experience in supporting or deploying optical project

Knowledge of IP equipments is an advantage;

Fluency in English and Germany;

Autonomous, strong learning and team cooperation ability;

Able to travel in Germany;

Responsibilities:

Definition of standard external & internal procedures for transmission systems (Optical Fibre/Leased line) Network Planning based on customer requirements, especially consider the offshore delivery.

External and internal interface for Project Coordination

Detail workflow for the process, every input/outpurt/Analysis/templet..etc

Manage and review the results of all defined Optical(SDH/PDH/DWDM/ATM) planning and transmission procedures

Knowledge transfer of all Optical and fiber planning process to other colleagues

Investigate, isolate and drive problems reported by customer to a closure

Cleansing of documentation errors in alignment with customer. etc;

Creation/update of network drawings.

Update of customer workflow & project mgmt. tools

Documentation technique in service.
