Big Data Scientist – Big Data, Business Intelligence, Data, SAS, SQL, PHP, Informatica, ETL, Cognos, TM1, Microstrategy, Teradata, HadoopWe are currently searching for a knowledgeable Big Data Scientist for a partner company delivering Big Data solutions to its end-user clients, based in central Munich, Germany. Big Data is quickly becoming the fastest growing industry within Business Intelligence and this is the perfect opportunity for someone with the suitable skills to further their career. You will be helping to lead a large team dealing with all aspects of Big Data, often dealing with multiple and complex databases from different sources.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Communicating findings to both business leaders and IT managers in a way that both can easily understand
• Addressing and trying to solve specific business problems that have the most value to the organisation
• Trying to find new angles on data, and then trying to determine what it means and finding new ways to apply it
• Performing statistical analysis and querying databases
• Developing or programming databases
You will have a good diploma (or equivalent) in a relative field such as mathematics, informatics, business, or statistics. Experience with Teradata, Microstrategy or Business Intelligence platforms such as Cognos, SQL, or Informatica are necessary. You will also have the statistical, mathematical and predictive modelling skills to be able to build suitable algorithms. Having a basic understanding of how a business and its strategy works would also be preferential.
This is a fluent German speaking role.
