Site Design Engineer required for our client a leading global telecommunications company. They are looking for someone who is both fluent in German and English Language and can provide expert level advice and consultancy to Project Teams in the field of Site Design.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Ensure site design, construction and electrical standards and specifications are agreed with the customer prior to the start of the project
- Understand local conditions and tailor site designs to best match the local environment
- Guarantee minimal design to provide value engineered designs
- Review site specific designs as produced by the Design Consultancy and make recommendations to manage cost and simplify construction
- Provide hands on training for staff who will be attending Technical Site Surveys (TSS), reviewing drawings and approving designs
- Review and approve alternative materials proposed by suppliers and customers
- Assist the Design Consultancy to produce non standard solutions as required
- Ensure the site designs are in line with customers' requirement and standard of the operation and maintenance
- Ensure that site designs are compliant with local Health and Safety requirements.
Site Design Engineers need to be qualified with a degree in Structural or Civil Engineering. Familiar with civil works programs and proficient in survey tools such as AUTOCAD and the Microsoft Suite. Familiar with the industrial standard of the steel structure of the telecoms industry and an understanding of towers, mon-pole and all antenna support structures.
