An Offshore Energy Operator is looking for a Senior Claims Manager to working on the Electrical Package of their offshore wind farm project. Our client is looking for an individual who resides in the Hamburg area and who can start this 6 months contract as soon as possible. Fluent English and German language skills are required.Job Description:
Claim manager will be expected to work on behalf of the Engineer focusing on the Electrical Package. The Claim Manager will be responsible for handling all claims in the course of the project and along with other individuals, support the Engineer to execute the project. You will also be responsible for assessing all submitted claims, ascertaining and appraising and documenting all relevant claim events.
Responsibilities:
Approaches and involves all disciplines involved
Determines, co-ordinates work packages to assess the claims
Attend meetings when necessary
Prepares the basis for possible negotiations in matters of the particular claim
Prepare the necessary composition
Liaises with engineers representative in order to file claim on the basis of the applicable contract to ensure quality and performance
Keeps and updates files of each claim in order provide access to authorised employee of the client
Prepares reports as requested by the Engineer
Recognise latest version of the client's instruction procurement process.
Essential
Proven record of experience within the construction of offshore wind farms
7 years (or more) experience in claims management
Familiar with FIDIC style contracts
Must be able to assert oneself
Able to work autonomously in providing advice and solutions
Adept at contributing of their own objectives/deliverables and be able to determine how to achieve them
Strong communication skills
Must be able to travel to and work at other locations (sites)
Language: Fluency in German & English
