We are currently recruiting for our client, a Global Telecommunications Company for a Procurement Specialist to join their organization in Germany.

Position Title: Procurement Specialist
Position Type: Contract
Start Date: February 2015
Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension

Coordination, organization and implementation for procurement related process and execution, such as inquiry management, negotiation, purchasing and supplier management. Taking into account the applicable laws, regulations and agreements, and achieving outsourcing compliance and improvement of project margins. The responsibilities have included but not limited to:

- Coordination and communication with the departments / internal customers as well as the central purchasing throughout the process;
- Preparation of tenders and request;
- Collect, check and evaluate quotations;
- Carry out and complete price and contract negotiations;
- Supplier Selection;
- Risk analyses and review and development of appropriate action plans;
- Conclusion of contacts and Preparation of ordering process;
- Supply chain management (scheduling, cost and quality control, implementation and analysis of supplier evaluation including development of appropriate action plans to improve supplier performance, and conducting regular business reviews);
- Implementation of the target strategies and targets from centralized procurement and internal customers, for instance, improvement of project margins (realization of "Savings"), supplier payment terms, or reducing the number of suppliers, etc.;
- Observe, analyze and forecast the suppliers’ market, its prospects, trends and the potential chances and risks, report to internal customers and the Central Procurement;
- Creation and tracking of budgets for external services and materials, analysis of variances and development of corresponding actions.

- Solid procurement experience;
- At least 5 years working experience in Telecom, especially wireless mobile rollout projects knowledge;
- Good knowledge in Wireless mobile technology and the related services portfolio;
- Managed multi-interfaces in complex organizations and professional work environment and performed tasks with changing priorities under pressure;
- Ability and experience in anticipating the internal customers’ needs and comparison with the group strategies, policies and guidelines and vice versa;
- Very good analytical thinking skills;
- Good knowledge in contract law;
- Proactive, result- oriented, and willing to take responsibilities in decision making;
- Great corporate spirit and intercultural awareness;
- Great interpersonal and communications skills;
- Fluent in both English and German languages.
