Cloud Architect- Cloud Assessment and Migration
M.Tech/BE/B. Tech from Premier institutes with 10-12 years of IT Strategy, Cloud Readiness Assessment, Cloud Migration Planning and Portfolio Rationalization experience.
MBA, good to have.
- Deep understanding of Cloud Computing and various deployment methodologies
- Hands on experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud services and AWS
- Driving Proof of Concept or Pilot deployments on Azure/AWS cloud using newly launched services from Azure/AWS
- Integration knowledge: ETL, SOA, APIs, Microservices
- Data & Analytics Knowledge: RDBMS, NoSQL, Data warehouse, ML, Big Data, Serverless DB
- Scaling knowledge: Performance engineering, deployment architecture, and security
- Good Experience in creating migration strategy & migration plan
- Understanding of leading CSPs, Cloud Computing and various deployment methodologies
- Deep understanding of Datamodelling/UML, Architecture and Design Patterns, Expert knowledge of open source web frameworks and databases
- Should have IT Solutions orientation mindset
- Identify the most important client IT issues and opportunities in the landscape.
- Understand how to define large-scale strategic IT transformations that meet both short and long-term business and financial objectives and involve a broad range of Client capabilities
- Experience in Cloud readiness assessment to decide on the application's preparedness to run in the cloud; driven by architectural feasibility, platform portability and application complexity
- Experience in recommending enterprise applications to Cloud in a IaaS, PaaS and SaaS Model
- Good Experience in creating migration strategy & migration plan
- Demonstrated experience in developing strategic multi-year IT transformation roadmap that address these issues, and thereby maximize business value
- Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity of cross functional dependencies
- Should have Strong Communication skills, Analytical ability and Interpersonal Skills
- Proven experience in Client Interfacing, Relationship Management, Cross team coordination
- Must understand technology trends and should have business sense of IT in order to articulate the returns on technology investments for customers
- Understanding of different Software Lifecycle methodologies
- Conduct rigorous quantitative analyses to generate insights about client business and IT alignment and value creation opportunities
- Cloud Architect Certification for leading CSPs
- Preferable to have experience and thorough understanding of DevOps tools and Container based technologies like Docker, Kubernetes etc.
- Preferable to have Microservices development experience using Azure service fabric
Desirable Skills:
- Evaluate and recommend enterprise applications to Cloud in a IaaS, PaaS and SaaS Model
- Some experience in pre-sales from technology solutions perspective is desirable
- Identify current risks/challenges & portfolio improvement opportunities
- Leverage business knowledge and/or prior experience to delivers well-argued and structured plan to address cloud migration planning based on issue identification, assessment of existing situation and comprehensive analysis
- Presentation to the client- While defining and defending the recommendations
- Submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Perform risk assessments to develop response strategies.
Individual Role - To provide pre-sales solution support and provide governance to execution projects
Team Management Role - During assessment projects it is required to manage teams or small/large sizes depending upon the size of the project
