COTS Migration/Setup Specialist German Speaking
Location: Hanau, Germany
Rate: €400/€450 per day
Duration: 6 months
Start: ASAP
The project is related to setting up of multiple COTS Client Server apps/custom Client Server apps in new environment/landscape( Few examples: Aspen Tech Manufacturing Suite/Engineering Suite, AutoCAD, Oracle Client, etc.). This is not just for one product.
Job Description:
*Good analytical and strong problem solving skills
*Client Server Application, COTS migration/Setup experience.
*Understanding of Client Server installation & Setup
*High level information on Infrastructure details for example, server setups, dependencies on multiple hardware components
*Participate in workshops with application owners to map dependencies and help determine Client Server application migration plans
*Help drive technology infrastructure from "current state to future state" with a focus on as-is migration to new Servers/infrastructure
*Experience in migration of Client Server/COTS Apps from one IT Landscape to another
*A holistic understanding of IT infrastructure inclusive of server, storage, network, database, systems, DR/business recovery etc.
*Expert level technical acumen, including the ability to understand the customer IT landscape, identify opportunities and overcome any technical obstacles.
*Design, implementation and support of Client Server/COTS App migration
*Solutions focused, self-motivated and curious
*Track project risks and escalate accordingly
*Excellent communication, organization and writing skills are required
*Proficiency in German and English language (oral and written).
*Proficiency in analysing requirements, resource estimation, and allocation.
*Ability to translate complex technical information across all levels of the organization.
*Strong, proven problem-solving skills and ability to identify, analyse, and resolve problems, driving solutions through to completion.
*Strong attention to detail which ensures that customer requirements are met and that a high quality standard is achieved.
