Derzeit sucht das Team der KEOS Software Service GmbH für einen Kunden:Symantec Endpoint Engineer (w/m)
Overview of Role:
The client is utilizing a Symantec Antivirus based AV and IPS Platform. The current team is providing a broad range of services from multiple international locations, operating more than 20,000 Server and Storage Endpoints.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operation of the central anti-virus platform for Servers and Storage Systems, including but not limited to:
General administration of the Symantec infrastructure
Infrastructure life cycle planning and capacity planning
Provisioning, monitoring and maintenance
- Troubleshoot or Detect security issues or detections, create incident tickets and manage problems until closure
- Coordinate escalations and collaborate with internal technology teams to ensure timely resolution of issues
- Perform system maintenance and maintain current documentation
- Propose process and technical improvements to management
- Work with multiple staff and vendor teams to support the care and feeding of existing infrastructure, optimize existing products, and participate as needed in any architectural re-engineering, configurations discussions and planning
- Proactively identify and recommend updates to software, hardware, or architecture as necessary and in accordance with information security operations and engineering objectives
Essential Requirements:
- Displays good verbal and written language skills in both German and English
- Experience working with international multilingual teams
- Experience with design, architecture and implementation of services in the areas of anti-virus and intrusion prevention for server and storage environments
- In-depth knowledge and experience with implementing and installing the following technologies:
Experience in Implementing and managing Antivirus Projects including Installation Configuration and troubleshooting of Symantec SEPM, SIEM and SSIM
Administration of Symantec servers, appliances and Distributed Repositories.
Configuring tasks, policies, scheduled scans and adding scan exclusions based on client’s requirement
Performing daily activities, monitoring and remediation of servers for virus infections and threats
Event logs monitoring and analysis
Vulnerability assessment of Critical Application servers
Education:
- Preferably Windows, VMware or Symantec certifications
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a System Engineer in a Symantec Antivirus role
