Task:To build and configure new and existing systems with respect to infrastructure and application software standards as part of the implementation process at Global and Regional level.
The response to and resolution of issues with both the regional and global infrastructure server environment setup hosted within the ITS and region for the Operating Systems / Hardware / Infrastructure applications to ensure maximum provision of service.
* Installs or removes hardware and/or software, using supplied installation instructions and tools; follows agreed standards, including where appropriate those for electrical work.
* Conducts tests of the hardware and/or software affected using supplied test procedures and diagnostic tools. Corrects malfunctions, calling on other experienced colleagues and external resources if required.
* Reports details of all hardware/software items that have been installed and removed so that configuration management records can be updated
* Helps to resolve problems (eg poor performance) and faults (eg system failure) occurring in the operation of hardware and software
* Plays a leading role in scheduling installation work, liaising with all concerned to ensure that installation priorities are met and disruption to the organization is minimized
* For all requests that cannot be resolved, provides an effective interface between users and service providers supplying all necessary diagnostic information, according to established procedures.
* Proposes, discusses and evaluates potential solutions with service providers and implements agreed field modifications or workarounds as directed
* Provides guidelines and working instructions for other teams in the support chain, based on chosen technology and tools
* Provide technical expertise to resolve third level technical support issues and ensure that all escalations are successfully resolved and that all emergency fixes/changes are appropriately documented and implemented
Requirements (Must have):
* Proficient strong knowledge of server infrastructure (Win2008, 2012, 2016): Windows Server security, deployment planning, troubleshooting
* Proficient administration skills in Win2008, 2012, 2016
* Proficient in Networking technology (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
* Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, Login Script, Windows Scripting (Powershell)
* Fluent knowledge of English
* Knowledge of Change Management process
* Good communication skills, customer-oriented, active contributor to team work
* Minimum 4 years IT experience
* Minimum 2 years in similar role
