Project manager - Data Migration - Azure - Essen - Start ASAP
Next Ventures Customer in Essen, seeks an experienced Project Lead/Manager for an Azure Coud migration project.
Request 1: CMO (Current Mode of Operations) & Decommission Lead
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Define CMO for all Data Centres and Applications in scope of the Migration/Consolidation Project ensure the project team are aligned to capturing the required data and that the inputs to the vendor are a representation of the CMO.
- Work with internal and external resources/project team members to ensure sufficient knowledge is available to capture the required inputs and ensure the CMO readiness is completed for applications being migrated by the project, provide technical knowledge and recommendations where required to ensure the CMO is not impacted due to the migration/consolidation/decommission activities.
- Manage escalations to the Head of EA DCC where required to ensure the project team and internal/external resources are engaged and delivering the requirements of the project.
- Ensure reporting of project status is as per tkE requirements and is completed on time and within the agreed process for project reporting.
- Decommission required infrastructure and exit incumbent data centres as per the agreed contractual processes as per the vendor management/commercial resources on the project.
Skills and capabilities:
- Experience in MS Azure Public Cloud as a Project Manager delivering significant cost reduction to the business through consolidation of FMO workloads and leverage of MS Azure Cloud Capabilities.
- Project Management Experience in a complex Global Organisation with specific focus on IT Infrastructure Projects at a regional/global level.
- Experience Managing project teams, BAU teams and vendors across multiple country geographies with diverse cultures and ways of working.
- 20+ Years in IT, preferably across IT Infrastructure Projects with management of project teams, project controls and proven delivery capabilities.
