Ensuring continuous SAP operations general support services for the SAP Basis Team.The SAP systems and the interfaces to these systems have to be managed, the high availability is guaranteed together with the team.

The tasks of accounting and logistics areas are performed in a 4 systems system (SAP ERP 6.0 EHP6 Basic Release 7.31), the task of supporting the personnel areas also in a 4 systems System (SAP ECC 6.0 EHP7 Basis Release 7.40).
These systems are converted to Unicode,they are operated highly available. Systems for Solution Manager, Enterprise Portal,Process Integration, Business Connector, SAP Mobile Platform, OCR Server and various Admin Server for SAP operated.
For the Solution Manager, the SAP MaxDB database version 7.09 is used Databases of other applications are Oracle 12.2 databases. The applications are on Suse Linux (SLES 12/3) operated in virtual systems.
There are currently 14 SIDs assigned. There are currently 2,200 SAP Licenses in use, these include Professional, Limited Professional, Employee, ERP Developer and Worker user.
Additional licenses will be added in 2018 due to ongoing projects. From the SAP CCC

The SAP Basis team administers SAP systems, managing interfaces to and from the SAP systems, it performs SAP release changes. The SAP Basis Team is the link of organization between the business SAP applications / module support and the IT infrastructure.

Consulting:
o Operation SAP Launchpad - Support Portal - SAP Call Handling.
o Support in the implementation of projects. Projects are prepared in the day-to-day business and from the
Estimated effort.
The following list mentions supporting consulting activities that should be planned
and jointly implemented with the involvement of SAP Basis.
o Calculate / Download Support Package Stacks / Deploy Page Effect Report.
o Patching / Upgrading and Administration Databases (Oracle and MaxDB).
o Troubleshooting Software Update Manager (SUM).
o SAP error analysis (syslog, batch job, authorization problems, etc.).
o Analysis capability in complex architectures - network / certificates / encryption.
Support product management:
o Advisory support for the SAP challenges in the near future (SAP Cloud, S4HANA,
Projects in and around SAP).
o Continuous optimization of the installed SAP system landscape.
o Planning and recording of HR and RWL EHPs.
