SQL Server DBA is responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server DBMS systems to ensure the availability and consistent performance of software applications connected to the databases.
SQL Server DBA is responsible for the development and sustainment of the SQL Server warehouses, ensuring its operational readiness (security, health and performance), executing data loads, performing Datamodelling, maintenance and troubleshooting in support of implementation team and tasks.
Responsibilities:
* Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product life cycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems
* Configure and maintain database Servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
* Support system customization, ie configuring database values and new reports, importing GIS data, and managing existing data in the database
* Support deployment activities, including data import, system migration procedures, and production version upgrade
Your Profile:
* 3+ years MS SQL Server Administration experience (MS SQL Server 2008 R2 or higher)
* Strong knowledge of T-SQL
* Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
