Description: Our client have just started a new project and they are building a team and need contractors to help ramp them up and stick to the project when it is in full swing.
Great role, for a hardware engineer designing the PCB's for power supply into automotive applications. They focus on the components design such as Invertor and converter drives and units.
This is a 6months + rolling contract
Develop a power supply solution for all automotive and ASIL B requirements
Define the requirements for a matching pre-regulator
Provide a proper documentation:
Calculations to be done in Maple or MathCad
Simulations to be performed in Saber or System Vision
Mentor-schematic of the supply part
Layout-requirements (Circuit Board Design Requirements)
Powerdissipation and temperature rise of components
Communications with possible suppliers regarding component choice
Design verification
Skills
Hardware design and engineering
PCB schematic design with the use of Mentor graphics tools (Altium/DxDesigner or alike)
Component design
Automotive applications design
Power supply is a big part here.
