Digital HW Engineer (m/f)

For our client, a global Telecommunications company focussed on Mobile R&D, we are looking for a Digital HW Engineer (m/f)

Project Start: 01.07.2018

Project duration: 31.12.18

Location: Munich and Remote option

Tasks:

  • Participate in definition of communication transceiver digital controller architectures for new semiconductor products (such as SPI, MIPI, I2C,proprietary, ) based on market, standardization and customer requirements
  • Design digital sections of the communication transceiver evaluation boards with clock speeds >100MHz
  • Perform Signal Integrity and Power Integrity simulations of the digital sections of the transceiver evaluation boards
  • Program the digital controller protocols in microcontrollers or FPGAs
  • Debugging the control protocols in SW and HW
  • Be the interface to customers and academic partners
  • Give application support on digital control interfaces to customers
  • Create technical documentations (datasheets, application notes etc.)

Skills:

  • A degree from a university or university of applied sciences in Electrical Engineering or comparable
  • At least 5 years of working experience in the field of Embedded SW design (ARM architecture preferred)
  • Good knowledge of low level communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART etc
  • Experience using measurement equipment used in debugging (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers )
  • Working experience in the field of high speed (above 100MHz) digital HW design
  • Experience in using different logic families such as LVCMOS, LVDS, ECL, etc
  • FPGA programming experience is a plus

Languages:

Written and spoken English know-how is demanded, all documentation will be in English
