Task:- Reports into the Customer`s Lead Engineer/Deployment Manager responsible for the site.
- Work under instruction of T3 Engineer and work unsupervised.
- Produce and provide daily progress updates / reports to Customer´s project team as per the agreed process
- Understand the Design Pack (EDP/DDP) for actions of the T2 Engineer
- Installation of cabling, hardware, racks and ancilliaries to the agreed and specified build
standard. Including terminating, continuity testing and labelling.
- Installation of fibre optic cables to desired locations, support hand off to T3 for final connection and testing.
- Rack/Stack and Wire of CMTS to HFC equipment to EDP and build standard.
- Meet/Exceed the equipment and cabling installations accuracy and quality. Ensuring all installations are carried out as per Customer`s build standards and specification
- Decommisioning and cable mining following safe practices to eliminate risk to services.
- RF forward and return path matrix/Combing installation.
- Optical transmitter and receiver, installation.
- Run cables inside racks and externally to termination end points.
- Mount equipment fixing and earhting bonding.
- Rack installation and fixing to ground or infrastructure.
- Move equipment to it’s final location and prepare for install.
Requirements (Must have):
- CATV/Broadband Headend build, fix and maintain
- Hybrid Fibre Coax network build, fix and maintain
- Network engineering in Telecomms environment.
- TV Transmission/Broadcast and Forward and Return Path RF commissioning and installation
- Coaxial cable installaition and test in an RF/Broadcast environment
- Fault finding RF based systems, Broadcast and Narrowcast services
- Use of Test Equipment including fibre scope, RF signal generator and spectrum analyser measuring Digital QAM. (Desirable)
- SCTE Technical certification (Desirable)
- Microsoft office suite
