Job description:
Role
Tools Setup/Configuration Engineer
Tier
1
Experience:
- 6-8 years solid experience in Linux/Windows systems administration and architecture
- Minimum 4 Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as: SaltStack, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, SCCM
- Minimum 2-3 year experience with SaltStack/SCCM
- Salt experience should include:
- Execution Modules
- State Modules
- Renderer Modules
- Returners
- Grains
- Experience with continuous integration/delivery and deployment practices.
- Monitoring/data collection tools such as App Dynamics/New Relic, Nagios, Splunk or any enterprise level monitoring platforms
- Experience with Version control system Git
- Strong coding experience using languages like Ruby, Python, Java, Shell (bash, PowerShell) Scripting, exposure to the go language a plus.
- Strong experience in designing Config management solutions with SaltStack. Shell, Python Scripting abilities; exposure to the go language a plus.
- Experience with working with multi-master setup, Syndic, Pillars and grains in SaltStack, specifically v
- Experience in working with deployment and config management of windows Servers using SCCM, DSC, WMI, PowerShell etc.
- Contributing to Open Source community a plus
Required Skills:
Minimum 3-5-years of ands on experience installation, defining, building and configuring automation and orchestration tools, specifically
- Saltstack Configuration in a Master-Minion or Standalone Mode
- Ansible Framework
- Automation Anywhere
- Spacewalk
Highly Desired Skills
- Strong technical background and experience related to tools such as Tanium, SCCM, Spacewalk
- Integration/Configuration/Administration of above-mentioned tools
- Troubleshooting of Integration points
- Extracting and Reporting of operational data
