Responsibilities:
Requirement is from operations team so the work will include support activities, daily maintenance, troubleshooting etc. In depth detailed technical knowledge is required. Should be able to help the skilled engineers when they face technical issues.
Should be able to give technical guidance (such as impact ) for the design changes as and when required.
Able to support customer environment - routing and switching (Nexus, catalyst 6500 switches, etc).
Performs analysis and diagnosis of most complex networking problems.
Builds simulated networks in test labs to resolve most complex problems and compatibility issues.
Sets strategic and technical direction for Advanced Services best practices and functional roles.
Qualifications:
5-8 years experience in network Consulting or telecommunications support environment. Advanced degree is also preferred.
Expert level knowledge in two (2) of the following and strong knowledge in all other areas of: IP internetworking LAN Switching, Datacentre-Nexus and NxOS, IP Telephony, SAN, CDN, Optical, Wireless, IPCC. WAN protocols, IP Routing protocols (IGRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), Cisco Security Solutions, Cisco IOS and IOS XR operating systems.
Expert level internetworking troubleshooting in a large-scale network environment.
Knowledgeable of Advanced Services Program model deliverables and expectations. Be able to articulate value-add to Customer.
Undertake support as designated Advanced Services engineer for large-scale networks. Must possess strong technical account management skills.
Large-scale network design skills and ability to leverage technical expertise of others.
Leading edge technology design assistance for primary accounts.
Cross-functional contribution and impact with development engineering on product development and serviceability design.
In-depth knowledge of network management, network availability & capacity planning.
Fluent English and German.
