We are looking for a Project Director for a Project in Mumbai.Your Tasks:
- Overall Management of the entire Project
- Responsible for staffing with adequate personal at various stages of the assignment
- Meet, liaise, interact and ccordinate with the Client
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the GC contract (General Consultancy)
- Project procedures are stablished and followed
- Supervise the activities of the Project personnel
- To provide the inception Report presenting the Overall work plan, proposed methoddology of Approach for the GC Service, and provisional program for the completion of the Project
- To submit consolidated monthly progess Report of the work including design, constructionschedule and cost Status of the Project
- Organizing the preparation of Tender documents for the Project, the issue and Evaluation of prequalification Documents and advising Client on the acceptabillity or otherwise of the responding bidders
- Issue of the Tender documents and the Evaluation of valid Tenders and providing Client with necessary recommendations for Award of contacts for Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Signaling, Telecommunitaion & Fare collection Engineering System, as well as for Supplies of Equipment including rolling stock
- Organizing supervision of the Performance of the Contractors and Suppliers till the stage of commissioning the Project after Trials runs
- Organizing procedure for promptly reporting to the Contractors and Suppliers, any Deviation from the contract requirement, which may affect the cost, safety or progess of the Woks, with recommendations for remedial measures
- Make suitable Arrangements under his Organisation for Monitoring the contractors/suppliers compliance with the insurance and bond Obligation as well as adherence to the Labor, tax, and contract law of the land as applicable to their respective contracts, and Report in time on any breach
- Arranging Submission of Completion Report and executive summary Report on completionot the Project
- Interact with the chief executive of Client and the entire Team of GC will assist him through their respective chiefs
Your Profile:
- at least a Master Degree in Engineering or equivalent (MBA)
- professional experience in Metro Projects as System Integration Expert
- experience working in a similar role with strong technical Background
- experience in developing Country
- international working experience in multicultural Teams advantageous
- excellent personal Administration skills
- excellent english skills
- knowledge of local language (Hindi) will be valued add
- relevant IT-skills (EDMS, MS Office applications)
- willingness to re-locate to Mumbai for 4 years
