Datacenter Migration Project Manager/PM PMO Project Coordinator/Mannheim, Germany/12 Months
The Company
ConSol Partners Client is an internationally recognised and well respected enterprise information technology company that is looking for an Application Migration Coordinator to join the team in Mannheim, Germany. The Application Migration Coordinator will be working on a contract basis which holds great potential to both add value to your already strong technical skill set.
Responsibilities
As an Application Migration Coordinator at ConSol Partners client, you will be a fluent English and Germany speaker with experience within a large enterprise datacentre environment. The AMC is the single interface between the project team and the operational areas/departments of the customer. You will coordinate; track planning preparation and execution of Migration Waves (move multiple systems from one location to another).
The AMC will work closely with application owners to define individual systems migration plans whilst also coordinating application owner's approval of proposed migration scenarios. The AMC will also support and coordinate application owner's collection/creation of documentation, preparation of test plans/test cases, development of contingency and fallback plans. All of this will be within a quality and timely delivery, escalating any issues as soon as necessary.
The AMC will also be responsible for the following:
- Coordinate application owner's pre-migration activities (eg, upgrades).
- Coordinate operations team's preparation of defined system target environments.
- Coordinate project team's execution of defined migration scenario.
- Coordinate application owner's post-migration testing and go-live decision.
- Coordinate post-migration issue resolution.
- Participate in POC/pilot migration to document standard process.
This position will allow you to utilise the varying experiences you have already gained in previous contracts as well as add technical experience and value to your already gleaming knowledge base.
Requirements
- Good understanding and experience of server migration methods and processes
- Good technical background (Infrastructure, windows, application requirements and operational processes)
- Project leadership skills (people & process management)
- Previous experience in an AMC/Project Coordinator/Project Manager or similar role.
- Fluent English and German (this is mandatory)

Contract Length: 12 Months
