SCCM Administrator/Engineer
One of our leading clients is looking for an SCCM Administrator/Engineer for a 6-12 month contract. This is for a quick start is 2 weeks upon receiving an offer.
The SCCM Administrator/Engineer will be responsible for:
- Create, test and maintain standard software images for all foundation client and server hardware; Create, test and deploy software, drivers and other updates to foundation workstations and Servers.
- Maintain up to date documentation of current software images and process; provide training to other support teams as needed.
- Maintain Windows Server Active Directory and Exchange Environment.
- Programming as required to customize deployment packages to meet customer requirements.
- Systems administration and troubleshooting of Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager.
- Meet with customers and project teams; define requirements and program, test and deploy customized software packages based on those requirements.
- Configure and acquire new client side and server hardware for evaluation purposes.
- Record problem symptoms and status information in a timely fashion and communicate internally within the IT department and externally with customers and partners through resolution.
- Metrics reporting as required.
- Provide excellent customer service, via phone and in person concerning all aspects of technology provided by the IT department.
- Manage and prioritize a dynamic workload to meet the demands of ongoing and project related tasks.
- Create custom SCCM reports and SQL queries
- Analyze SCCM log files, provide patch management support
- Assist with monthly Windows Update deployment process to Windows Servers and workstations within the organization via SCCM.
- Integrate packages and software deployments into SCCM distributions throughout the organization.
- Perform and validate test packages for Microsoft operating systems. Monitor production deployment process with system engineers. Provide rollout status/update reporting as required.
- Remote PC health checks (hardware, free disk space, memory, CPU, Antivirus definitions, etc.).
- Perform ad hoc administration within Microsoft's System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
- Use PowerShell or similar scripts for automation.
