Oracle | DBA
NV are looking for an Oracle DBA (Database Administrator) for a 6 month role in Munich. Candidate must be a fluent German speaker.
Purpose of role & key responsibilities:
- Perform database administration related testing, develop DB scripts to maintain database and systems health
- System environments and database related activities
- Verify that the installed software has passed application acceptance test
- Keep test & development environments in healthy status (eg resolving and coordinating environment tickets)
- Co-ordinate and/or execute maintenance tasks (database administration and maintenance, Middleware)
- Capture tasks and timetable in a maintenance document
- Write work orders for and execute tasks to be done for the whole environment (mirror split, etc.)
- Support Application installations
- Coordinate and resolve UNIX/Windows issues
- Maintain databases and fix database issues
- Provide environment related support in case of problems to testers and developers
Your profile:
- A computer science degree or similar
- Professional experience in Oracle DB administration and maintenance, additional skills in DB development is a plus
- OS Level and DB Level Skillset both are required and independent from any running application on the given software platform, eg mount an OS (like Sun OS, HPUX, Linux, Windows, etc) and configure a database (eg Oracle, MySQL, etc)
- Knowledge of Unix Shell Scripting and application specific skillsets
- German and English written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer focus and flexibility to travel Oracle | DBA
